Biography

Dr. Kenneth Niles is the Chief Executive Officer and President of the holding Company - Immanuel Ministries International (I.M.I.L.) for the past twenty years; and HIS Global Concepts – a private community based company.
He also comes to us with a wealth of experience as a Family Counsellor and Therapist. He began his practice after graduating from Bible School having done an extra year focusing on Psychology and Counselling. He continued with specialized training at the Haggai Institute in Singapore and in the United States where he attained his doctoral degree in Christian Psychology. He also attained a Postgraduate degree in Mediation Studies at The University of West Indies, St. Augustine, Trinidad and has achieved the Masters of Science in Mediation Studies at the same institution and had participated in Essential Skills in Mediation Training Programmes and also facilitates mediation courses and is now certified as a mediator by the Mediation Board of Trinidad and Tobago. In May 2008, he presented a paper on “Elder Abuse” at the Elder Mediation Symposium in Ottawa, Canada. He has attended several training programs in Trinidad and Tobago, some within the ambit of the Ministries of Social Development and Community Development. He also worked as a volunteer lecturer and facilitator in these Ministries. He also worked at the Probation Department with the responsibility of the Family Therapy Programme.
Dr. Niles has lectured at several fora on varying subjects, such as Motivation, Stress and Anger Management, Problem Solving, Parent/Child Conflicts, Marriage and Family Life, throughout the Caribbean, North America and Europe. In addition, he lectures in Occupational Health and Safety programmes addressing Critical Incident Stress Management and psycho-socio components and its effects in the workplace. He has also served as a conference speaker on varied topics including disability, mediation, gerontology and financial equity. He is also a Life Skills facilitator within the prisons seeking to influence the reform dynamic.
He has served as family mediator identifying alternative means to conflict resolution especially within divorce proceedings, including settlements. Recently, he developed the Restorative Intervention Programme (R.I.P.) for Secondary Schools which focuses on the development of the student and the involved stakeholders morally, socially and spiritually. It should also be noted that Dr. Niles works with the hearing impaired as a counsellor and an interpreter (even during court proceedings).
Dr. Niles completed his post doctoral programme in Geropsychology in Colorado Springs, Colorado and also lectures on Social Gerontology at The University of The West Indies, St. Augustine, Trinidad and Tobago and also lectures on Conflict and Trauma Studies at the University of the Southern Caribbean.
Focusing on the development of the male man, Dr Niles is actively involved in building and maturing male leadership at home and abroad. He has released the two of three volumes of the "Man To Man Series" called "Man To Man: Stepping Out" and “Man To Man: Stepping In”.
This husband and father, continues to focus on restoring marital relations and has a strong passion for maintaining successful marriages.
